Creamy Sesame Smoothie with Muddled Strawberries

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups almond or other milks of your choice light preferred
  • 2 small oranges
  • 1 medium frozen banana presliced and frozen** see notes
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries defrost slightly if frozen
  • 2 tbsp tahini runny or stirred well
  • 1 tbsp ground flax/ chia/ hemp seeds or protein powder OPTIONAL
  • pinch of cinnamon optional
  • toasted sesame seeds for topping optional

Instructions
 

  • Chop the oranges, banana, along with tahini and milk. Blend until smooth nd creamy.
  • Divide the strawberries into 2 glasses. Muddle them with a (muddler or back of a spoon) slightly so they are crushed and release some juice.
  • Pour the smoothie equally in the glasses. Enjoy with a sprinkling of ground cinnamon if you like it.

Notes

Ripen banana for at least 2 days so their sweetness develops. Black spots on the skins are a good indicator of ripeness. Slice the banana and freeze in freezer bag. Use in smoothies or nice creams as a base.
