Golden Power Glow

Its March. rain, snow, grey skies and winter lingers on here is N.California. We have no reason to complain because before we know it will be in the mid 90s and the endless summer will be here to enjoy.

California regularly experiences draughts and forest fires. Unfortunately more so in recent years and the heavy rains is really appreciated to fill the reservoirs and keep temperatures cooler. With that said we can always bring a little warmth and sunshine into our kitchen right?

Introducing Golden Power Glow. It tastes exactly what it says, golden fruit and vegetables, powerful herbs to give you that warm glow. Packed with healthy dose of carrot, beet, pineapple, ginger, turmeric this blend is sure to brighten your day. Providing antioxidants to scavenge free radicals, beta carotene, vitamins, minerals, healing adaptogens and importantly tastes delicious.

INGREDIENTS

SERVES 1-2

  • small piece ripe pineapple, about (50 gms)
  • 1 medium organic carrot, chopped
  • 1 medium Golden Beet raw scrubbed, peeled if preferred, (70-80 gms) 
  • 1-2 inch piece Ginger Root, depends on your tolerance
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp ground Turmeric or 1-2 inch fresh root
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon MCT OIL or fermented ghee ( turmeric is best absorbed with black pepper and fat)
  • 1 medium orange peeled

DIRECTIONS

  1. Blend all ingredients in a upright high speed blender until smooth, about a whole minute.
  2. Pour and drink immediately or refrigerate.
