It also is fig season unfortunately very short lived, so we eat them by the boatload. I love them on my toast, with my oatmeal and in salads. Of course my favorite way has to to be as is specially the soft jammy ones.<\/p>\n<p>This is a simple kale salad with big flavors. I felt the sturdiness of kale holds up really well to this tomato vinaigrette. Hope you like it as much as we did.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.nourishdeliciously.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/A02A460C-32BC-4859-B0D2-195A3F2681A3.jpeg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-5230 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.nourishdeliciously.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/A02A460C-32BC-4859-B0D2-195A3F2681A3-677x1024.jpeg?resize=677%2C1024\" alt=\"\" width=\"677\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>INGREDIENTS<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 large bunch about 7-8 leaves, curly organic kale, middle rib removed and torn into bite sized pieces<\/li>\n<li>2-3 ripe heirloom tomatoes preferably, sliced<\/li>\n<li>5-6 figs sliced or 2 cups cantaloupe melons chopped<\/li>\n<li>handful of almonds<\/li>\n<li>1 medium Hass avocado sliced<\/li>\n<li>TOMATO\u00a0VIANGRETTE<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc cup (50 ml) white balsamic vinegar<\/li>\n<li>1\/2-1 teaspoon maple syrup ( depending on how sweet you want and sweetness of the tomatoes<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon lemon juice<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon salt<\/li>\n<li>Freshly ground black pepper<\/li>\n<li>4 -5 fresh basil leaves, each torn<\/li>\n<li>1 cup (200 g) baby tomatoes, halved<\/li>\n<li>3-4 tablespoons cold pressed extra virgin olive oil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"h3\">Directions<\/p>\n<p class=\"h3\">Place balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, salt, basil, and tomatoes into the blender. Blend for 30sec to 1 minute till everything is smooth and pureed. Now slowly\u00a0add the olive oil in through the lid opening in a steady stream till oil is well emulsified.<\/p>\n<p class=\"h3\">Tear kale leaves into bite sized pieces. Place them on a plate. Top it with sliced tomatoes, figs sprinkle with almonds, and sliced avocado.
